Sore Throat Treatments with Sage, Eucalyptus and Garlic

An irritated throat can often be the most aggravating part of a cold, or any type of respiratory infection. The worse part is that no matter what you do, you seem to be irritating the area, even swallowing hurts. So what can you do to make the pain go away?

2. Eucalyptus (Eucalyptus globulus) – You can use the fresh eucalyptus leaves to make a tea. Another way to benefit from this herb is by using the aromatic oil to get a cooling effect on the inflamed tissue.

3. Garlic (Allium sativum) – Garlic has been used for centuries to treat upper respiratory health conditions. It is both antiviral and antibacterial; thus, very effective for the treatment of cold and strep throat. Make a tea out of garlic and water and then gargle with the mixture at least three times a day.
